Just wanted to give a little update on how things are going my neck of the woods.

I posted this morning for everyone to show your flowers and it inspired me to work on my bouquet. So here is the finished product. Almost finished, have to hack the ends off.

I am going to my own bouquet. That is right. Using silk flowers. Not only that but all the flower stuff...except maybe the corsages and bouts. That I may have to leave to the pros. Haha!

So, I know my wedding isn't til October and all, but I wanted to go ahead and dye my crinoline. So I did....

Got up early and went to David's Bridal to pick up my dress. Super excited. Had never tried it on but had tried others like it one. They never have my size in stores. Never. So my Grandmother, Aunt and her daughter who happens to be my flower girl are with me. The woman I usually see there is off today, no big deal. Just picking up the dress, crinoline and bra. Also having Aubrie, my flower girl try on dresses.

Get the dress out of the bag, it is wrinkled to hell and back. Like really horrible. That was a big down moment cause how can you tell how it will lay when it looks like it was stuffed in a box and wrung out wet. Then the 17 year old girl who is helping me is lacing up the corset and points out that one of the loops is broken. WHAT THE HELL! How can a brand new, special order dress have a broken loop already. Minor moment, then calm, then followed by her trying to convince me to wear heels and a veil. Nope and nope. Don't think so. Followed by me saying I am taking it elsewhere and getting alterations done (Which I made known at least twice before trying the dress on...this morning!) She says they can't touch the dress after it is altered anywhere else. Good all I want them to do is steam it. The Alt. lady said that I could bring the dress back after scheduling an appointment to have it steamed and then come back to pick it up when they call. Okay, first off...the dress should have been steamed before I got there. No if's! Second, don't get pissy with me. The young lady who was helping with my dress said it would only get wrinkled again after I had the hem put in. I spent the next hour crying. Not exactly how I wanted my morning to go.

On another note, decorated the flower girl basket tonight.

Plus I found my non-heel shoes at Walmart for 7.50. Oh yeah. I am a little different so I choose these bad girls.

Not to mention we found votive holders that were fall colored at Joann's today. On clearence. 8 boxes of 6 (exactly what I needed) for 97 cents a box. 8 bucks for 48 votive holders. Holy cow!

All in all, pretty wish wash day. No dress pics yet cause of the wrinkles, I refuse to take pictures of it. Hopefully soon...very soon.

SQUEEE!

That is all I have to say. Grams and I went to the Sharonville Convention Center today for their Bridal Showcase. I talked to so many people, entered contests, and also got to try some cake. (Even though we have our cake person!) I came home to find my order from Cards & Pocket folds was in. Double Happy! Samples of envelope and invitation mat colors. I love love love the copper and milk chocolate colors. I have to wait for Andy to get home to convince him it is wonderful (don't think it will take much. This is by far the easiest choice I have made for colors...*LAUGHS*

On another note!...Thanks to one amazing person in the wedding plans community on here I was able to get an aisle runner for about $40. Not to bad for 25 yards of chocolate color fabric. Hehe! Now I need sheppards hooks, laterns and some other jazz . Woot for more DIY stuff.

Hehe I am in such a great mood. It makes me thrilled to feel this way.

Now Andy needs to come home. When colors are final on the invites I will post a pic...Oh and got the blurry look out of the invites...and they are amazing.

I ordered my wedding dress (1.5.08)! Squeee! It is really happening! It should be in around the end of March!

Plus Jessie (one of my bridesmaids) has ordered hers as well! The same day! How weird is that!

No I have not fallen off the planet. Christmas is here and work is killing me.

Other than that.... We went to try some cake today and I must say it was fantastic! We are going to go with this place for sure. It is called Artrageous.  They had came to Macy's and Andy tried some cake there. He then called me and told me about it. They are so eclectic and I love that about them. Their shop is small and so inviting.   I don't have a picture of what the cake will look like though. Cause it is based off of one of their designs and it is not up on their site.  However it involves all of our colors, dark red , burnt orange and chocolate brown. Wee! Plus the price is about right...Around 400. Not bad really. We are going to have three layers. The top being red velvet, middle being strawberry with strawberry filling and the bottom being yellow with raspberry filling. Yummy! Here is the link...tell me what you think!

Well, second garter to replace first is done. Has been for a while but I am to lazy to post a picture so I will do it at the end of this post.

The reception hall we looked at, Meadowbrook is amazingly pretty...but when we came home I started researching other halls in downtown Cincy (Just for shits and giggles)...yeah Meadowbrook is twice as expensive...like $4800 in all. -sighs- So we reopened the possible idea of having an outdoor reception at my gram's. Renting a large tent, tables, ect and going from there. My mother knows a guy who owns a caterer company. His name is John Schock who said he would cut us a deal. He is italian and the food I hear is amazing. So rock on there...Anyways...We leave for TN on Friday at 5am. So this is the last post until I return.

I leave you with pictures.
